Try disconnecting the hard drive and start the laptop. Any words of wisdom?

Boot your laptop from the first recovery disc sony vaio pcg-6g7p follow the wizard on the screen. As you understand, the new drive comes without software. Sony say Recovery discs will not work on a different size hard drive to original!!!

Any chance may have restored with Norton improperly? Probably try replacing the hard drive cable.

Ideas on where I can purchase a replacement sony vaio pcg-6g7p drive — nothing fancy, just want to get it sony vaio pcg-6g7p again for basic quicken. Do you have a tutorial for this? They decided to abandon it. What can it be? Connect both brackets to the new drive, connect the cable, install the drive back into the laptop and install the cover.

I guess I need to replace the hard drive also. On sony vaio pcg-6g7p last Sony laptop, I also could see the fan on the bottom, but pcg-6gg7p took me about sony vaio pcg-6g7p. If you use any drive above that size you need to use a dynamic disk overlay. I see there may be a problem with a larger hard pcg-6b7p from a post above. Will it bypass the VAIO logo with the hard drive disconnected?
